Laura Sampson Hemingway is a filmmaker (Crossroads of America) and screenwriter (One More Time With Feeling) based in New York City. Laura’s work has awarded her a fellowship with Stowe Story Labs x Sidewalk Film Festival, a development grant from PANO Network, and an artist residency with Nostos Screenwriting Retreat. Laura teaches screenwriting at L’École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle in New York and mentors young writers through the national non-profit Girls Write Now. She’s a graduate of Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College (MFA), Eugene Lang College at The New School (BA), and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NY. She’s also a David Lynch Foundation scholarship recipient for the study of Transcendental Meditation, and an alumna of T. Schreiber Studio and Theater.
